Chih-Zong Deng is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU). He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo, his M.S. from National Taiwan University, and his B.S. from NCKU. Dr. Deng’s professional experience includes serving as a researcher at Sony Group Corporation and a Project Researcher at the University of Tokyo’s Institute for Photon Science and Technology. Most recently, he was a JSPS Research Fellow at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan. His research focuses on nanophotonics, metasurfaces, and their integration with 2D materials, with work featured in ACS Nano, ACS Photonics, Small, and Advanced Functional Materials.
